The state geologic service was derivat 23.08.1938г. 

Now functions of the state geologic service are assigned to State agency on geology and mineral resources at Government Kyrgyz Republic.

The base tasks of Geoagency: 

- System and complex geologic analysis of entrails;

- State regulation of questions of usage entrails;

- State control behind rational usage of mineral-raw resources of republic;

- Conservation of mineral resources.

Geoagency fulfils functions:

- State and branch policy;

- Regulation in sphere of usage entrails;

- Coordination, supervision and control;

- Support of the subordinated operations;

- Service.
